Now, the question to be asked is, what makes Prithvi, a theatre located in an secluded spot in Juhu ,a posh suburb in Mumbai so unique? The answer to this question lies in four key features that this magnificent theatre possesses. They are as follows

According to the official website of Prithvi ,the hallowed theatre/stage apparently witnesses approximately 643 shows annually. The ticket rates for a performance ranging from a minimum of Rs 150 and a maximum of Rs 500. The unique feature about the theatre/stage is that it provides for a feeling of intimacy between the audience and the performers (i.e. the real essence of theatre). Furthermore, this intimacy is in fact what a genuine theatre artist lives for i.e. a  mutual exchange of give and take with the audience. Actors as versatile and great as Nasseruddin Shah and Om Puri have graced this hallowed theatre/stage with their magnetic presence, with the play “Udhwastha Dharmashala” written by GP Deshpande and staged by Nasseruddin Shah, Om Puri, and Benjamin Gilani being the first to have been performed at Prithvi on 5th November 1978.
